Despite being diagnosed with cervical dystonia, athlete Jirome de Castro continues to prove that nothing is impossible. His condition has caused years of painful and involuntary muscle contractions, but Jirome is determined to push forward and to raise awareness through sports. Since his diagnosis, he has joined 31 running events, including 5 marathons and 19 multi-sport competitions (including 6 triathlons and 2 half ironman events). As a dystonia patient, he understands how those inflicted with XDP often feel misunderstood by society, and that's why he continues to race, finding true purpose in educating more to embrace and support those with XDP.
